Description

All the world’s a stage; it’s time for you to OWN IT! Making A Master Actor is a deep-dive acting course. A hands-on, physically engaging, hyper-text analysis curriculum made to level-up our actors’ threshold for understanding and executing text with dynamic, undeniable performances. We’ll use the same text that has been cranking out master actors for well over 400 years: that of one William Shakespeare. Through this course, you will work with some of the most demanding scripts ever written. The idea being that by bringing ourselves up to the level of heightened text we will naturally bring our innate ability as storytellers up with it. Things to expect from this class: - Veteran-level text analysis skills - More confidence in commanding leading roles - How to paint with words - A foundational toolkit into deciphering heightened text (specifically verse) - The power of the breath as fuel in dialogue - Understanding how to marry our sense of naturalism (as American-trained, contemporary actors) with the demands of highly-structured, heightened text. Through partnered scene work, exercises, and application we'll explore the depths of the human experience, and how to properly express that through the actor's most powerful weapon - words. Go, make you ready… $190 deposit, then remaining $190 will be invoiced and due by November 6th.
