Levels are awarded based on completion of an initial Placement Interview.​

Beginner A

Beginner A Members are actors seeking an introduction to professional acting training. They may have either little or no acting experience, or they may have stepped away from acting for a significant time and are beginning to explore their options again. Either way, Beginner A actors are curious about discovering the creative and exciting world of acting and are interested in making sure any future training they pursue has a strong foundation.

Beginner A Actors are automatically advanced to Beginner B Membership after completing qualifying courses and workshops.

Beginner B​

Beginner B Members are actors who have begun to train professionally in some capacity, and are interested in building strong foundational tools for their craft. They may be early in their development or they may have several months or even years of training. Beginner B actors understand that honing craft takes time and commitment and are continuing to lay the foundation as they explore and discover their unique approach to the craft of acting.

Intermediate A​

Intermediate A Members are actors who have shown commitment to their training and demonstrate solid foundational skills. They are actively pursuing opportunities to work as an actor, have developed a good grasp on how to approach material and are continuing to explore new skills and techniques to shape their unique voice as an artist. Intermediate A actors demonstrate the commitment and craft needed to pursue a professional career in the arts.

Intermediate A Actors are automatically advanced to Intermediate B Membership after completing qualifying courses and workshops.

Intermediate B​

Intermediate B Members are actors who have a good amount of professional experience and/or have shown strong commitment to their training over a significant period of time. They have a firm grasp on scene work, character development, and are able to make informed artistic choices. They are committed to their professional development as an individual artist and seek out opportunities to grow in their craft. Regardless of how long they have been training, Intermediate B actors understand that the pursuit of this craft is a continuous exploration.

Advanced​

Advanced Members are actors who are working professionals and/or actors with significant years training, adept at their craft and proficient in their process. They demonstrate the ability to embody diverse characters with authenticity and nuance, have a solid understanding of the industry overall and are committed to acting as a primary focus for their career. Their dedication to the craft extends to a relentless pursuit of self-improvement, engaging in continuous training and exploration of new techniques to stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving world of acting.

ONCE I RECEIVE MY INITIAL MEMBER LEVEL, HOW CAN I ADVANCE BETWEEN LEVELS?

 

To Move from Beginner A to Beginner B, actors must:

• Complete Acting 101 Workshop​

• Complete at least 6 months of Beginner Workout (does not have to be consecutive)

• Complete at least 1 session of Improv 1

• Complete any 2 additional Workshops

• Email info@greenlightactingstudios.com with your request to be auto-advanced

To Be Considered* For Advancement from Beginner B to Intermediate A, actors must:

• Complete at least 12 months of Beginner Workout (does not have to be consecutive)

• Complete at least 1 session of Improv 1

• Complete at least 2 Workshops

• Receive a recommendation from a Greenlight Coach

• Submit for a new Placement Interview

To Move from Intermediate A to Intermediate B, actors must:

• Complete at least 6 months of Intermediate Workout (does not have to be consecutive)

• Complete at least 1 session of Improv 1

• Complete at least 2 additional Greenlight Courses

• Complete at least 3 Workshops

• Email info@greenlightactingstudios.com with your request to be auto-advanced

To Be Considered* For Advancement from Intermediate B to Advanced, actors must:

• Complete at least 18 months of Intermediate Workout (does not have to be consecutive)

• Complete at least 1 session of Improv 1

• Complete at least 2 additional Greenlight Courses

• Complete at least 3 Workshops

• Receive a recommendation from a Greenlight Coach

• Submit for a newe Placement Interview

*Completion of qualifying courses/workshops does not guarantee advancement. Advancement is ultimately determined based on Coach Recommendation and Placement Interview Assessment.

Actors may request early advancement from their Workout Coach if they feel their level is not serving them.
