About the Event
Break down the world of heightened text using everything from Shakespeare classics to 10 Things I Hate About You, Lord of the Rings, and the fast-paced dialogue of writers like Aaron Sorkin.
Actors will explore why some language feels bigger, more rhythmic, or even more intimidating; and how to make that kind of text feel natural, grounded, and playable instead of stiff or overwhelming.
Together, we’ll explore:
• Verse vs. prose
• Rhythm and thought patterns in language
• How heightened text helps reveal character and emotion
