Intro to Accents - Zoom Workshop

Learn phonetic and pronunciation tools applicable to help you master any accent or dialect!

This workshop is a required intro to future specific Accent courses we will be offering, so don't miss it!

You will learn:

• The basics of phonetics, how our speech patterns work to shape and make sound
• Understanding where an accent lives in the mouth and breath and tricks to master it
• The International Phonetic Alphabet, which will allow you to translate any text phonetically to serve a desired accent
• How to listen to an accent to identify it's specific vowel sounds, tones, etc.

About Your Coach:

A classically trained actor for over 20 years, Jonathan Lee Taylor has performed in theatres across the US and appeared on television, films and national commercials. He has been nominated for multiple awards and as an Equity Actor, he has over 1,500 performances at the Kennedy Center with America’s longest running comedy "Shear Madness".

As a narrator, he has had to master dozens of specific accents, voices and dialects in providing the voice of over 100 audio book titles.

Having worked in New York and Washington DC for the past two decades, Jonathan is excited to be bringing his expertise in storytelling to Georgia.
