Dramatic Improv Workshop

Many actors are excellent at script analysis. We build detailed backstories, define objectives, make strong choices, and carefully prepare our work.

But sometimes… all of that preparation accidentally leads to pre-planning.

We start deciding how moments are supposed to happen instead of allowing ourselves to fully experience them in real time. Emotions become anticipated instead of discovered. Reactions become controlled instead of spontaneous. And scenes can lose the unpredictability and aliveness that make performances truly compelling.

This workshop is designed to help actors reconnect with spontaneity, emotional freedom, and moment-to-moment listening through dramatic improvisation.

Using guided exercises, partnered work, and improvised scene exploration, actors will create original dramatic moments while also learning how improv can unlock fresher, more truthful work within scripted material.
