About the Event

This workshop is designed to introduce you to the varied and exciting world of Voice Over Narration for actors. From popular films and television series, to scripted podcasts, audio books and more. The demand for great storytellers with strong narration skills is high.

Love audio books for a long road trip?

Ever listened to Kristen Bell narrate an episode of Gossip Girl?

How about Morgan Freeman's memorable narration in The Shawshank Redemption?

Perhaps you listen to a podcasts like Unsolved Mysteries?

Each of these holds an opportunity for actors to flex their narration muscles! Imagine exploring the skill of moving and engaging with an audience using only your voice!

Part 1 - Audio Narration

Sat, July 8, 3:00-5:30pm

Now, if you're going to be VO actor - that's ANY kind of VO actor, you're going to have to get a little familiar with the technology. In order to submit, auditions, finished projects, participate in remote recording sessions, etc - a crucial part of being a VO actor is getting familiar with the tools of the trade!

That's where Part 2 comes in! Let us walk you through the basic equipment, recording, editing and mastering skill needed to pursue your own work as a Voice Over actor! Anyone can do it, you just have to learn the tech! With this workshop, you'll be on your way to created VO demos, submitting auditions, and more!

About Your Coach:

A classically trained actor for over 20 years, Jonathan has performed in theatres across the US and appeared on television, films and national commercials. He has been nominated for multiple awards and as an Equity Actor, he has over 1,500 performances at the Kennedy Center with America’s longest running comedy "Shear Madness". As a narrator he has over 100 titles. giving voice to multiple audiobooks. Having worked in New York and Washington DC for the past two decades, Jonathan is excited to be bringing his expertise in storytelling to Georgia. Jonathan loves working with other actors and equipping them to use skills behind the microphone.
