About the Event

Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It...

Tactical work and scenes involving weapon use are very commonly played by the actual actors cast in the project, rather than stunt doubles. Equally as often is the short amount of time those actors are given on set to be walked through the actions of a scene. It takes confidence in a task to play an action with confidence. That's where this dynamic duo comes in...

Christian Brunetti and Renford Ligon spent over 30 years combined time in Special Operations. Now, they are bringing that experience to the film industry, working as military advisors, stunt coordinators, and tactical trainers on films and series such as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Lightning, Special Ops: Lioness, The Righteous Gemstones, The Walking Dead, Til, and Mr. Mercedes.

They also dedicate their time to training and preparing actors for work in action scenes with tactical and military simulation training to build actors' skills and confidence when in comes to weapons handling. Their goal is to help actors BOOK MORE WORK thanks to skills that help them look great and feel confident carrying out this action on camera. Why? Because sometimes all really capable people need is a little guidance and direction, and with that they can do incredible things.

This Workshop covers everything from Urban operations and close quarters battle, to working in vehicles, to patrolling and missions in non urban environments. Actors will take that training and do force on force drills in an urban environment where you get to see what it’s actually like. The Workshop will also discuss the differences between reality and film. Ultimately we are filmmakers and story tellers, so knowing how to translate skills and experiences to film is a must.

SCHEDULE:

Saturday 10am-5pm Weapon Training, Intro to CQB and Patrolling

Sunday 10am-5pm  Vehicle Operations, Advanced CQB Hostage Rescue and Scenario based training

Culmination exercise:  Force on Force drills, hostage rescue and raids

All weapons and gear will be provided. If you have your own gear (body armor, etc) feel free to bring it. If you have a airsoft or replica weapon you want to train with, bring it. NO REAL WEAPONS ARE ALLOWED AT ANYTIME.

We look forward to the opportunity to add new and exciting skills to your actor's toolbox!
