Description

Weekly Class featuring Scene Study with an emphasis on working with the camera and Improv! Lights, Camera, Confidence!! This class was uniquely designed by our coaches to offer our Teen Actors skills and training that might be missing from their local or school theatre program. Take your talents in front of the camera and learn valuable techniques to connect emotionally with characters! In this class you will be given scenes to create self tapes, review your work, be given direction and instruction for creating more dynamic work on camera, partner with your fellow actors and do on-camera scene work both in and out of the classroom. This class is designed to improv both your audition skills and your scene work as and actor and all with the help of the world's best lie detector - the camera!! THIS MONTHS SCENES WILL BE FROM THE "HUNGER GAMES" FRANCHISE! Your class also features once monthly Improv "Takeovers" with coach Ibanez Downtain to help grow your character building and storytelling skills! About Your Coaches: Amey Richards - Growing up in Alvin, Texas, Amey gained a passion for theatre beginning in high school under the guidance of her theatre teacher, Judy Radigan. Her multiple onscreen roles include Josie Hudson in "The Last Astronaut," Spencer Taylor in "My Life in a Soap", and Mae-Belle in the short film "Little Texas". In addition to acting, Amey is also an accomplished writer, having won two screenplay competitions for her scripts. Amey has a passion for coaching teen actors and helping them to gain a strong foundation on both the industry overall and the craft of acting. Ibanez Downtain - Ibanez has been an active performer in the city of Atlanta for 19 years, beginning when he was 13 years old. In that time, he has worked on independent films, been a part of several improv theatres in Atlanta and has learned from some of the most talented people in the country. He has held the titles of Main Cast Performer, Instructor (for all levels of improv), Director, and Producer. More recently, he has written, directed, and performed in several sketch comedy ensembles. With a special place in his heart for comedy, he is always looking to incorporate fun into the learning process.
